Precision Mental Performance consulting
for Musicians
Musicians have the power to communicate deeply with their audiences in a way that people in most other professions can only dream of.
Sometimes, performance comes with anxiety, nerves or frustration.
Other times performance is so smooth it feels almost effortless.
Performance consulting takes an interest in both the highs and the lows experienced by an elite musical performer. My approach to the work includes mental skills to help improve performance, as well as an empathetic space where you are free to express your thoughts and feelings about your work.
But what exactly IS Mental Performance Consulting?
-
Likely you are interested in performance consulting because you are looking to improve something about the way you play. In our first session, we’ll get to know one another to gain a deeper understanding of what you are looking for, and begin to design a plan of action for getting the desired results.
-
Keep in mind that performance consulting isn’t just useful, it is also fun! There is no minimum number of sessions required and sessions can follow any cadence that supports your goals best.
-
Together we will explore the way your mind works during performance and develop an understanding of how to help you perform at your best. Learning about our minds and using that knowledge to improve elements of your game is a journey full of insights and discoveries, and is bound to give you skills to use in your daily life as well.
-
I charge $65 per session.
Musicians, both amateur and professional, can benefit from performance consulting.
If you have ever struggled to fully get into the music or have wondered how to get what’s going on in your head out of the way of your performance, you will benefit from this work.
My mom is a professional flutist, and her music has been a constant companion in my life since birth.
In addition to playing guitar and piano, I have been a vocalist since age 8. I find performing live to be a wonderful thrill.
I aspire to support musicians who wish to experience that thrill, free of inhibition and obstacles, for themselves. Music for me is characterized by expressive joy and love. For many who choose to become musicians this is also true, but sometimes over the course of our lives we lose touch with that joy and love for performance.
